Zero-Tolerance Drug and Alcohol Policy
Central School of Practical Nursing enforces a zero-tolerance policy for drug and alcohol abuse. Students may be screened for drugs/alcohol at any time with reasonable suspicion. Refusal to submit to screening or tampering with specimens will result in immediate dismissal. Students taking prescribed controlled substances must disclose them upon admission or when prescribed.
Clinical Attendance and Illness Policy
Students are required not to attend clinical if they are ill. If a student reports ill to clinical, they will be sent home. A medical release from a physician or emergency room is required to return. This policy is in place to protect patient and student health.
Central School of Practical Nursing Acquired by New Bridge Cleveland; Relocation Announced
New Bridge Cleveland, a healthcare workforce training nonprofit, has acquired the Central School of Practical Nursing. The school will relocate from Independence to 4050 Superior Avenue in Downtown Cleveland, aiming to expand training opportunities and integrate trauma-informed curriculum.
