Weather Advisory: Coastal Hazard and Storm Preparedness

The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Hazard Message for Nutley and surrounding areas, effective Sunday, October 12 through Monday, October 13, 2025. Residents are advised to avoid flooded roadways and not to drive through flooded areas. In the event of a power outage, contact PSEG directly. Generators must be used outside and at least 20 feet from buildings. The Department of Public Affairs can assist with refrigeration for medications if needed. Updates will be posted on the township website.

Eastwick College President Responds to Civil Lawsuit Story

Thomas Eastwick, president of Eastwick College-Nutley, issued a public response to a June 25 news story about a civil lawsuit filed in Essex County Superior Court against the college. Eastwick emphasized that the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office found the allegations unfounded and stated this was the first negative press in the college’s 39-year history.
