Respiratory Virus Safety Guidelines (COVID-19, Flu, RSV)

Palo Alto University continues to follow protocols from Santa Clara County Public Health and the California Department of Industrial Relations. Individuals with respiratory viruses should isolate until fever-free for 24 hours and symptoms are mild and improving. Use N95 or KN95 masks for 10 days after illness onset, and avoid contact with vulnerable populations. All positive COVID-19 tests or exposures must be reported. The university may reinstate mask requirements in classes, labs, libraries, or campus-wide if there is a significant resurgence of respiratory virus infections.
