DormWay February Release

Here’s what’s new in DormWay
We shipped a lot. Like… a lot a lot.
Most of it is invisible in the best way: things load faster, sync correctly, and stop doing weird stuff at 11:47pm.
But some of it you’ll notice immediately.
Your schedule finally behaves like a real schedule
We rebuilt the schedule system end-to-end.
Not “new coat of paint” rebuilt. Actual bones.
Your timeline is clearer.
Week and semester views make sense. Assignments line up where they belong. Due dates stop floating in random places. If you’ve ever stared at your calendar thinking “that can’t be right”—this is for you.
We also fixed a bunch of edge cases that only show up during heavy weeks. The ones that matter most.
Tasks don’t duplicate anymore (seriously)
This was the #1 complaint.
If something came from Canvas and a syllabus and you manually added it, DormWay used to shrug and show all three. That’s on us.
Now tasks are deduped intelligently. One assignment = one task. Always.
No more wondering which one is the “real” one.
Notes and documents are finally usable
Notes sync is way more reliable now. Documents got reorganized. You can jump between files without losing context. Inline note editing actually works the way you expect it to.
It feels less like “a feature” and more like a place you can actually keep stuff.
Which was the point.
Courses show you what matters
Courses got smarter—and quieter.
You’ll see:
• Assignment timelines that show when pain is coming
• Conflict warnings when weeks are about to get ugly
• Insights across classes (not just one at a time)
No fluff. No “AI vibes.” Just information you’d want before things pile up.
Today actually means today
We renamed things, cleaned up navigation, and rebuilt the dashboard layout.
The Today page is now… actually today.
What’s next. What’s due. What needs attention. Nothing else screaming at you.
Widgets are tighter, faster, and more consistent. You see more without scrolling more.
Settings aren’t a scavenger hunt anymore
Everything lives in one place now.
Connections. Notifications. Account stuff. Support.
No more bouncing between mystery pages wondering where a toggle went.
Small fixes that add up
Some highlights:
• “Processing syllabus…” no longer gets stuck forever
• Schedule buttons line up (on every screen size)
• Theme flicker on load is gone
• Timezones and daylight savings stopped doing crimes
• Sync failures fail gracefully instead of silently
None of these are exciting on their own. Together, they’re the difference between trusting an app and side-eyeing it.

Why this release matters
DormWay isn’t about adding features for screenshots.
It’s about removing uncertainty.
Every change in this release pushes toward the same goal:
you should never wonder what’s due, or whether the app is lying to you.
That’s the bar.
More coming soon—but this one was about foundations.
Thanks for using it, breaking it, and telling us when something feels off.
